Modern BI is Broken
Traditional BI tools were built for slower cycles and analyst-first workflows. They cannot power AI-driven decision-making.
AI doesn't work well with portraits. It needs a live feed.
What a modern stack requires: business definitions that exist once and are respected everywhere; querying data where it lives rather than where it has been copied; AI agents grounded in actual data; and interfaces that serve operators, not just people who know SQL.
BI wasn't broken by neglect. It was broken by success — tools optimized for one era, scaled across another.
